Book Wish List: Shambhala Inspired
"Shambhala Inspired" because all of these books come from a website I recently fell in love with http://www.shambhala.com/. I could stay on there all day just browsing and reading all the captions. Here's a little list I compiled. I hope to get each in the very near future though they're a bit pricey at around $20 each.

Dylan Week by Week: 13
Hello again darling baby boy. You are now 13 weeks and guess what else? An entire 3 months old now!! I have to say..this week has been a stressful one but you were beautiful and wonderful as usual.
Here's a picture of you this week:
Here's a picture of you this week:
Let's see: This past week Mommy had to file your nails quite a bit. I didn't like to see the little scratches you were accidently giving yourself on your face. You didn't notice me doing this as you slept. (I knew you would be too fidgety if I tried otherwise) :)
This has been the week of big smiles and new laughs!! It's so fun trying to get you to laugh and hearing the new sounds and faces you are learning to make. This makes my day soooo much brighter! You especially like it when Mommy makes fish and pig faces. It cracks you up instantly. Mommy also learned a little trick to get you to smile for the camera! yay!
On Tuesday night we both stayed at your Grandpa and Grandma Fessenbecker's house for a sleepover and change of scenery. They missed you so much and love spending as much time as they can with you.
Your Great Grandma Roz sent a fun package for you again! There was a teddy bear (that you love) and bigger, warmer clothes. :)
This week you started holding your toys and moving them around in your hands! I was so excited to see you take even more interest in toys and objects. You are getting so big.
At the end of the week Grandpa and Grandma Bordner visited you while Daddy and Mommy went looking for a new car. From what they tell me it sounds like you had so much fun...and I think you'll like the car we picked out. We made sure it would be super safe for you.
Dylan, you are fast asleep. I can't wait to watch you wake up and hold you again. You amaze me more every single day. I love you always and forever,
Mommy

Dylan Week By Week: 12
Dylan Michael, you are now 12 amazing weeks old. It is the start of November and the leaves are falling as you are getting bigger and bigger. Changes everywhere... :)
Here is a picture of you this past week. I chose this one because...
It is right before you rolled over. (You have rolled over slightly before) but this week you rolled over side to side many times in a row. It was so cute and you looked as proud of yourself as Mommy and Daddy did!!
This week was also your first trip to the Farmer's Market. Mommy and Daddy put you in a sling and walked around everywhere. We shopped/looked for food, books, records, and many silly trinkets. You slept the whole time but I think you enjoyed yourself. Many people stopped to say how cute you are.
That day we also visited my dear friend Katelyn. She couldn't wait to meet you! Even though she was healing from an injury she held you and fed you. She also gave you so many precious clothes! She loves you oh so much! We had the perfect visit sipping apple cider and eating homemade cookies.
I think you must of had a little growth spurt! You are just about grown out of your car seat and bassinet and many of your 0-3 onesies now. Mommy has to go through your summer clothes that you'll never wear again and give them away to Daddy's coworker who is having a baby soon. It makes me sad to know that you will never be that little ever again but I am so excited for now and the future. Though I think I will hold on to few of my favorites for keepsake.
Your mobile is your favorite thing this week and previous weeks. You are captivated under it and smile and laugh at the characters going by.
You are staying awake for story time and love looking at pictures in the books. I see your eyes dart all over the page taking everything in. I hope you never lose your wonder for books. Mommy loves this time with you.
You are more interested in toys this week. You hit them and smile and laugh at the reaction you make when it starts to play music. It is the sweetest thing ever to watch you (and I think the one Aunt Kate gave you is your favorite).
Dear Boy, you are starting to fuss now so I will end my letter and feed you and hug you and kiss those round cheeks!
Love, Mommy

ReNesting: Living Room
So one of my newer goals I've become obsessed with is redecorating our living room. It really needs some work and this week I've been collecting some inspirational photos that I wanted to share with you all. I don't really have a particular aesthetic though I do enjoy: pops of color, books on display, elegant clutter, funky chairs, and/or a lived in, cozy feel. Enjoy the eye candy!

Dylan Week by Week: 11
My darling baby you are now eleven, beautiful weeks old. How life has changed and moved so quickly since your arrival. It seems your new life has made mine new as well. There is so much you are doing and becoming in such a short amount of time that I have started to keep a journal beside me to write down every single thing. Every week of your first year of life (starting this week) I'm going to write your accomplishments, favorite things, activities we did, etc. I hope to someday give you the journal of letters on a birthday when you are old enough to appreciate them. I hope this makes you feel loved and cherished. Every single moment with you is to me. I love you baby boy, bubbalou!
This week you are now showing startled reactions to loud noises, like when mommy and daddy cough or sneeze.
Your fists are your favorite toy, you love to suck on them...especially when you are hungry. This is helpful to mommy and daddy to know when to start feeding you before you become fussy.
You are smiling so much more now!
You love to look at the glow and the dark stars on mommy and daddy's ceiling. I'm betting you will want some in your room one day too.
One night this week you slept a whole 8 hours! Do you know most babies older than you don't even do that?
Your Great Grandma Roz sent you bigger clothes (6-9 month ones) Some of them you can already fit in!
Instead of spitting up you are now drooling more and mommy and daddy are starting to keep a bib on you when you are awake.
Earlier this week you were very sniffly and didn't enjoy the bulb syringe mommy and daddy would use to get your boogies out. We started nicknaming you Snarfles.
Grandpa Bordner visited you on Sunday and brought some clothes!
You are somewhat on a routine this week, most nights you stay up til 12 am and sleep until 6 am.
Oh ya, when I said you were smiling a lot..you don't like to do it for the camera. As soon as mommy or daddy points it at you, you stop. I think you think it's funny but I've caught one or two smiles.
Your bouncer seat that vibrates and makes heartbeat noises calms you down and car rides put you to sleep.
You lift your head up very well when placed on tummy time. Way to go! Mommy and Daddy cheer and clap for you everytime. We are so proud of you.
Your movements are less random and sporadic, hehe but you still love to kick your legs!
You love it when we pick you up to stand so you can lift off your feet and jump.
You seem like quite the waterbug. You've never fussed at bathtime and you seem so relaxed when your hair is being washed.
You pull Mommy's hair but I've learned to tie my hair back. ;)
This week we carved pumpkins and Daddy made one for you...it was so cute and is glowing outside as I write this.
What a beautiful week it was. ~

Cracks
I need to get Netflix again so I can watch more movies..like I have the time for that, really. Haha. But this one, Cracks, based on the novel by Sheila Kohler looks fantastic. I'm especially taken by the perfectly dreamy and polished fashions. Here are some stills shots from the film. I would recommend watching the trailer on youtube as well..
I also love those doily looking pillows
my favorite.
Happy Thursday!

So I think every Wednesday I'm going to post inspiring photos for the week. Here's the first set: Halloween inspired. It's such a gorgeous time of year and has always been my favorite holiday.
